North South University is a private research university in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It was established in 1992 under the Private University Act, 1992, by the then Foundation for Promotion of Education and Research (FPER), a charitable, non-profit, non-commercial, and non-political organization. The FPER later was renamed as the NSU Foundation and is presently called The North South Foundation for Education and Research.

Eligibility
Eligibility: combined SSC and HSC GPA 8.00 with minimum GPA 3.50 in each, or O-Level five subjects average GPA 2.50 and A-Level two subjects average GPA 2.00 (only one E allowed; A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2, E=1), or IB-DP six subjects with minimum average 4.0 out of 7.0 (total 24), or US High School Diploma with minimum 60% marks
Engineering (CSE, EEE, CEE) needs Math and Physics with minimum B in HSC (or stated O/A-Level grades)
Architecture needs Math or Physics with minimum B in HSC or C in A-Levels
Biochemistry and Microbiology need Biology and Chemistry
BPH needs at least two of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Math at both levels
BPharm has stricter Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Math grade floors and must pass HSC/A-Levels within three years of result publication
BPharm and LL.B. are offered in Spring and Summer only, not Fall
